Affordable Online Theatre Classes Available!

Theatre Geekery is accepting new students for online courses. The first lesson is a free 15-minute course in the subject of your choice. Subjects offered are Script Analysis, Production Dramaturgy, Stage Management, and Theatre and Copyright Law (or \"Copyright for Creatives\"). Classes are scheduled with the teacher by coordinating schedules and are held over Google Meet. No software downloads are needed. Slide shows for lessons are sent to your e-mail so you can follow along with the lesson. What makes something funny?

A lot of things depend on what make something funny. One thing may be funny to one person while another doesn't find it funny at all. Some people seem to love when others get hurt. I don't think that is funny and I don't think the majority of people do, either. However, there are those people out there. Others like it when they make fun of people to make them feel better and make others feel "less than," but I don't like that, either. It isn't nice, but there are people who laugh at that. I find word play funny Puns aren't the lowest form of humor. They are actually the highest. It's just the puns deserve groans. It means that they are so bad they are good. Dogs acting silly can be funny, too. Honestly, any animals acting silly can be funny. The real thing is when delivering a joke, be it vocal or just by action, it's all about the timing. Plenty of this is already done in TV shows, in movies, and on the Internet. However, here are some ideas. Coca Cola = Polka Cola Pepsi = Popsy Nike = Knifey Tostinos = Toastiyes Wheaties = Oaties Cheerios = Joyrounds Special K = Unique A Total = Complete Oscar Meyer = Madison Goldwyn Fruitopia = Berrybliss All you really have to do is either think of things that sound similar or synonyms or near synonyms for words in brand names and you can easily make knock-off pun names.

What is the weirdest inner monologue you've had?

When I was in high school, a classmate mentioned how another one of our schoolmates looked like a snapping turtle. I couldn't get that out of my mind and then I kept thinking of random people and wondering if they looked like animals and would put the attributes of animals with them, too.

Is it cheating to use a pencil when solving crossword puzzles?

It is not cheating if you use a pencil to solve a crossword puzzle. That is the way most people solve them so they can go back and change answers if needed. The people who use pens to solve crossword puzzlers are either very smart and this is impressive (and there are a few of those people that exist), or they are doing very easy crossword puzzles.
